Wouldn't want to be in the water when one of those suckers crashed! Nothing like going to the beach and going home deaf. Mommy my ears are bleeding!

Geesh, is it safe to have a landing zone so close to the people?
.. the sound must be quite annoying

I dont think all the people go there for the swimming. I think it is more of an attraction for those people who love to get close to the action

I don't think it's real. Photoshop job. The plane would be far too loud, and it's way too close to the ground. Planes don't get that low until RIGHT before they land. People just wouldn't be allowed there.
Think about how much empty field and such there is around an airport. I don't even think they'd build an airfield that close to the ocean. Unless you're japan, but they're silly japanese folk and don't count.

Nah dude, it's real. They built the airport (whose runway is right there) clsoe to the beach because it's an island (like Japan but bigger ).
Maho/Airport Beach
This lovely beach connects the island’s three exciting nightlife spots: Caravanserai Beach Resort, Sunset Beach Bar and Maho Beach Resort. This is also the place to sit and watch jumbo jets streaking over the runway.
