Pretty much the four main record stores in Vancouver are:
1. Basixx, on hastings
2. FF, on Granville
3. Boomtown , just off davie
4. Virgin MegaStore , on Robson near Granville
Bassix and Boomtown are pretty much the best. There stock is always updated and they clear out older stuff. FF isnt that great, I dont think I have ever bought a record there. Virgin is my favorite. You cant listen to the records because there new but they Have TONS of new stuff and a kickass selection of trance. I buy records everytime I go into that store. Make sure you have alot of patience though as they have lots of records but they arnt catagorized by music genre only by alphebetical order.

Man I have bought half my records there. They have tons of Xtravaganza, Data, Multiply, Kontor, Black Hole, and Nebula. They have a kickass selection you just got to take the time to actually browse around.

Bassix and Virgin
Well, i checked out Bassix and Virgin today. I ended up buying about 10 vinyls. Bassix had a pretty small selection of trance, but some good ones hidden in there. Virgin had an even smaller trance section, but if you go to the other rack that says "pop/rock/vinyls", you'll still find lots more trance in there. Right underneath that sign, i found: Tiesto, Ayla, Blank & Jones, Faithless, Nostrum, and alot more. So there are good records at both these stores, you just have to be willing to spend a while searching for a good one. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check out the rest of those stores this week sometime and let you guys know what i thought.

i got to virgin and flipped out at the huge selection, everything they had, i got 15 vinyls even tho i cant afford to buy right now. didnt see the ayla. got a lot of lange and lost witness stuff, the B&J, faithless, thrillseekers - SYNAESTHESIA!!!!!!!!, some krap house mix of voodoo..
they have some great trance, prog, some cheese, i went thru the whoel thing in like 15 minutes just shuffling
anyways that's friggin awesome, the clerks were like surprised i bought so much stuff, saying no one ever does buy much vinyl.
but at bassix, i cant find jack diddly for trance. maybe its diff now, but seriously? anything good? nah. tidy trax, nukeleuz, and if you're lucky maybe 1 or 2 good records. i dont think they're very good
