Umm, no ... pioneer has nothing to do with Technics. You're probably thinking of Panasonic which, together with Technics is owned by Matsushita.
Special_K, can't you just mess around with the mixer's effect functions and see how they work? They're not that complicated. Basically you have a switch that selects what channel are the effects applied on (1-4, Mic, Master), the Effect selector and a knob that messes around with Effect-specific parameters. You activate the effect by hitting the big orange button. Just experiment with the knobs to see how the mixer behaves.
