Question Positioning of my monitors

I just picked up my first set of monitors (Truths, very nice!) and I'm trying to figure out the best way to position them. I don't know much about acoustics, but I feel like monitors are picky (they shouldn't be pointing at each other? Shouldn't be too close to a computer screen - I'm getting fuzz?)

The room I'm in is pretty crappy too..carpet and slanted ceilings cuz I happen to be in the top of the house

Annnyway, I put my art skills to use and drew this little sketch of my setup. The red X's are the monitors (with my screen in the middle) and I sit in the middle obviously. Problem is, the wall at the right slants up behind me (the wall that the monitors are practically facing).

If someone could give me an idea of the do's and dont's, or point out on the diagram where I should stick the monitors, that'd be really appreciated!
Thanks for the help.

*sorry bout the huge ass pic! Guess that's what you get for using Paint

Hey bro, congrats on your new speakers, as etherium once said, they make a big difference and you will soon realise how many of your mixes suck..... allowing you to improve them..... anyhoo, cheggy posted an excellent, excellent link to an online production resource, i dunno if you took a look at it or not, but it contains a whole section full of article with regard to monitoring. Here is the link:

Thank Cheggy for that one.

The two monitors and you, the listener should be placed in an equllateral triangle, which is 60 degrees. The tweeter should be placed at ear level and you should sit within a meter or so of the monitors. The monitors should face the longest part of you room so the larger sound waves can travel more than their wavelength so the bass doesn't sound so rubbish. Thats what I read so don't hold me to it.

I would also want to know how the monitors would cope in a corner of the room (Just like yours) rather than at an end wall because thats how I may have mine set up when I get some monitors.
