Is it true you can download full movies??? i heard people talking about Fast and the furious DVD the other day...how the hell is this done??

The best place to get movies would have to be Direct Connect. www.neo-modus.com has the program for it.

Here's a quick thing about downloaded movies.
1) They are usually rips from theatres. That means they have foriegn sub-titles and people walking through.
2) There are different forms of video: AVI, DIVX, ASF, and MPEG. The first three need a codec (compressor/decompressor file) to play and are usually poorer quality, but smaller files. MPEGs are the usually the best recording of movies, since MPEGs are not compressed or filtered.
3) The coolest thing is if you get a good copy of a movie you can burn it to disc as a VCD. this allows you to play it in some DVD Players. I found a screening of F & F and play it on my DVD player now. It was a total of 1.4 gigs!

Just try all the download programs until you find one you like, and try to get MPEG for the movies you want, and AVI, DIVX for the movies you want to check out. Have fun man. Oh yeah, if you know anyone with a "pub" that has movies that's the best way. I got Planets of the Apes (screening) before it came out.

I know it sounds a little harsh, BUT, I love seeing movies in their glory.. I have a kick ass home theater, and I love to goto the movies....

Why spend all these hours downloading shitty quality movies when you can pay like $8 dollars to see the how they were meant to be seen.

Don't get me wrong, I was into downloading movies a few months back.. I managed to get into some amazing FTP's that always had the newest movies, and of course I downloaded them... But the quality usually SUCKS.. I mean why take all that time to download when you have such bad sound, bad picture?

I'm not that cheap, why not go out and enjoy those movies like you should... Its not worth downloading... However downloading porn is another thing entirely, I've found some good connections that you find whole porn movies in GOOD quality

Now thats worth my effort

thor, you're right, BUT, what if theres a movie out there that you wanna see and its not something big and great, lets say cats and dogs, i kinda wanna see it, but i really dont feel like payin 13 bucks for it. also dl'ing movies is kinda cheaper than buyging videos/dvds all the time, saves ya some money that you can spend on music instead.
