dow do decks manage to get a sterio signal to send to the mixer?
this has been troubling me for ages as the needle picks up vibrations from the record but how can these be sterio? i know how the sound is produced and thats why i dont get this! surely for sterio you would need two needles?!?!

aparently the needle moves up, down, left and right.. left and right for each channel, but i duno thats what i heard <:
One side of the groove is one channel, the other side is the other channel.

prodigy is probably right cuz i recently (okay yesterday) broke my needle but it could still play but would only play on the right side i think it was... now it doesnt play at all

i dont see how that would work because if one side of the groove was higher than the other the needle wouldnt be touching the lower side. so how would it get any signal?

I think he/she meant left/right sides of the groove.
