Have you tried Sennheiser? The HD200's are cheap, sound great, comfortable for very, very long use and are indestructable. I love mine. The HD25's are by all means the ultimate headphone... and the pioneers....I haven't used them for long but i didn't like them very much at all. If the Senn's arn't perfect for you have a look at Ultrasone and AKG as well... For the same price you can get the Ultrasone HFI-DJ5001 and I don't think the pioneers would really be in the same league..... but i'm not a big fan of pioneer stuff, the cd players are awesome though...and the hifi amps are very nice.

If it doens't stock senns it isn't a music store.....

Try central station, they have them cheap, or cc's light and sound, or Rhythm and Sould, pro light and sound, etc..... everywhere pretty much, the Ultrasone are harder to find but if you look at there website there is a list of stockists. Sennheiser are good headphones... so are the the other's i mentioned. I use my headphones to much to buy Sony's and well the other brands.... pioneer/stanton/gemini/technics/etc i wouldn't even think of buying headphones from them.... I've tried each of them and I like the senns the most. Though i've heard very good things about the Ultrasone... and i quite like the higher end AKG. HD25, HD280 or HD200 are all very, very nice. The HD200 is not quite as loud at the HD25 but fits my big head better...for $299 you could get some really nice headphones.... the good Ultrasone's for instance, or the HD200, or the AKGs... or a bit more and you could even get the HD25s..... don't buy expensive and crap headphones......If you have alread bought the others, can you take them back and swap for one of the above mentioned?

if you look at the posts on the headphone thread in the dj area of TA

Winner: Ultrasone HFI-500 DJ1
Runner up: Sennheiser HD280 PRO
Budget pick: Sony MDR-7506 (MDR-V6)
But i think the HD200 is MUCH nicer than the sony... for a budget pick and seeing the Ultrasone are the same price as the headphones you're thinking of, which to put it bluntly, didn't make it to the list... i'd take the senns or ultrasones...

dynafire:wow... thanks a lot for the information...i checked out some of the headgear you mentioned...and yeah the senn 280HD is really nice!!! it retails for aud320... which was pretty steep..and guess what? i settled for the pioneer hdj1000 as they were on sale at aud220 which was too good to resist. thanks a lot for your feedback..it was invaluable....i'll check out the ultrasones when the pioneers die off.

If you want senn hd25's try chemical records they cost 90 pounds or about $215. Got them in week, no duty as it's under the limit. Fuck paying $599 for them like ive seen them in the shops.

yeah i did the same with mine last year except i bought mine from bangingtunes.com as chemical didnt have any at the time.. cheapest i had seen them in stores here was $470.. so very nice saving of $250 odd by buying from bangingbeats.

just had a look chem dont have any now either.. but bangingtunes do for £89.00

love my senns have taken a beating and still look/sound the same as when i bought them.. plus light & small .. none of this heavy chunky shit that pioneer etc have!
