I had my tables first and then had to wait for my mixer.
Omg, those first moment, I was afraid of touching my vinyls so that my platter would spin slower.
and the mixes, the horror.
btw, don't quit after some bad matches, once you did a good one you're lost and addicted to vinyl

I got one turntable, then a mixer, and then my second table. When I had just one table and the mixer, I hooked up a discman and learned to beatmatch. When the second table came in, it was like bliss. Probably more fun now than it would have been starting on two tables.
At first, when you can't do anything, it's not so fun. Then you get it beatmatched for the first time, go through the mix, and you know it was worth all the money.

don't forget recording your first mixes... It's a whole lot of fun when you listen to it after a year

Well I've been mixing with mp3 programs so far I figured I would have some sort of natural ear for it... not to brag but I think I do. I managed to match 2 tracks within the length of the first on my very first try . Of course trying to mix quicker tracks that are like < 6 minutes ends up in some nice gallops, but I'm getting it.
Btw my computer is now on the floor, and my tables are where my comp was

years of mixing (anything) will do that. congrats on the new equip, and enjoy mixing. good luck on the vinyl addiction though, its an awful/awesome habit that is hard to contain.
i still think that its more fun with no experience and really starting from the ground up with your equipment. ahh those first mixes..
