edit: It seems they didn't survive - in fact, the damage in the steering wheel was caused by the driver's head. And it seems to have hit a motorcycle, as far as I understood.

Isn't this a repost? The commentary last time suggested the accident was faked. Notice the lack of skid marks, lack of blood, etc.
