firstly, with todays ultra fast hard drives (7200rp +) there's no need for partioning it too much, the drives find the sectors so quickly it makes almost no difference.
anyway...
if you have the drive seperated into say, 2 parts c: and d:, move everyhting you want to keep file wise onto d: then format c: and reinstall windows on c:, everything on d: will then be accesable again. remember you can always overwrite windows witha new installation without formating your drive if you want to.
