fuckin hate it when it happens, it tarnishes the image of all england fans worldwide.
i really hope we dont have to put up with this stuff in the later stages, that would really put a downer on my trip to portugal

it's another chapter in englands book of troublesome fans.
Granted it's a very small minority, but it's a cancer that just will not go away for you lot. When will these idiots realise that the world is watching with scrutiny and they are doing nothing but disgracing their country.
This just makes me even more proud to be a celtic fan. The fact that we took over 100,000 fans to seville and not one was arrested.. Get in!

Has no one failed to realise that a load of Germans got arrested after about 450 of them they started throwing chairs etc at some Dutch fans before yesterdays match? No because no media attention is place on hooliganism unless the English are involved which gives us such a bad reputation

It doesn't really matter about what the germans got up to. The fact of the matter is after all the media hype and all the warnings that england had, there fans still cause trouble.

there is one word that sums these people up. SCUM!!! they should be put down. I was absoloutely gutted about sunday night, but i didn't go out and and start wrecking stuff, i just went to bed and sulked
unfortunately hooliganism is not just related to this country. the german/dutch fans can be just as bad, not to mention the italians and some of the racist/nazi "ultra" groups in countries formely part of the eastern bloc (like serbia).
the problem is that the media almost always chooses to focus on England. imo thats because this is something that has plagued the national team for a few tournaments now and sometimes blown out of proportion. theres always going to be trouble at any game, whether its a 10-man rucus in a local pub or thousands taking to the streets. put anyone in a pub in the sun for 12 hours, give them 15 pints and most will probably not really have a clue of whats going on... all it takes is one "dirty" look and the whole place is kicking off...
anyway, rant over, i do wish these people would calm down

The difference with the aforementioned countries is the trouble very raraely follows the national team. It's all club violence (with the odd exception). But over the years the english hooligan element has tagged along to tournaments with the national team and caused riots on a huge scale and all in front of the worlds media. This is the reason people have such a bad viewpoint on englands fans.

again i'm going to bring up the celtic in seville game. No-one on the face of the earth drinks as much as the scottish and irish. And yet in temperatures well above 90 F over 100,000 fans managed to watch there team play and lose, but not one arrest made.
Now you can't tell me that fighting is part of football because it's not.

i realise it gets blown out of proportion, but the fact so called fans are fighting with the risk that england could be withdrawn from the tourney is just outrageous.
