what about m-audio?? i have a shop too close to my house that sells only m-audio midi keyboards and i would like to know if they are good for starting

are you a piano player? If you are, you probably want a full size 88 key keyboard with piano-style action.. Studiologic makes good ones..

if your just a starting producer.. the m-audio evolution series of controllers is really good.. But dont get anything less than 49 keys.. 25 completly sucks..

at least it does for trance
for techno or bass synths it's okay I guess
me having played piano, I wouldn't want anything lesser than 61 keys

i have a m-audio radium49 usb - but i would really prefer evolution. this one might have better pots, but i miss some of the functions from the evolution (patch changing with +/- buttons, and one other i cannot remember ). but for start it should be adequate.
