yeah, as with eyes, once the damage is done there is little anybody can do except prevent it from getting worse. :/

dude, my one friend is almost completely deaf in his left ear... and he can DJ w/ no problems.... I still can't figure it out... but he does it and he's just as good as me or anyone else I know....

The only thing I've noticed is that he'll have the headphones turned ALL the way up and mix w/ it partially off his good ear...So I guess he's listening to both in his one ear...

so DJs are born to deaf... all the money we're collecting from DJing will entirely used for ear surgery..

how do you know that this hasnt happened from DJing? would seem obvious because only the ear ure cueing with isnt 100% any more??

Kinda doubt your childhood friends are resposible for hearing damage....but that doesnt matter. I guess theres no way around it though, but if your able to cue and beatmatch using left ear (even tough the hearing is worse on it), then whats the problem? I would be more worried about loosing my hearing tempoarly (as its the most valued posession for a Dj)..

Na, I'm not indonesian..just been living there for the past 6 years . Gotta say though that I love the jakartan night life.. its amazing and a thousand times better than back in sweden . But I'll be leaving to England for uni after summer...I'm really gonna miss this place

check out etymotic er20 earplugs. I got a pair and they work suprisingly well and there only about $15.

yeah jakarta nite life is cool! i also miss jakarta... unfortunately there's no trance club in Jakarta

Mate..you need to check out CO2 @ Embassy with Dj RiRi. They play trance up until 8/9am specially for the people rolling on E . But I have to agree with you..there are way too many prog & tribal house Djs in Jakarta.


..But dont worry, when I get back next summer from uni I'm gonna introduce Jakarta to trippy Epic & israeli PsyTrance...they gonna be blown away
