Pricing in holland? General info

hey hey..!

Sorry, i bet your sick of threads asking you dutch for tourist info, but here it goes:

were three ppl going down for Mysteryland this summer.. we are staying 20-27aug.

So after Mysteryland we are planning to experience holland some.. There is this fotball game on 22 i think that my mates wanted to see.. then we have desided that we want to go to The Power Zone and Escape venue (found them in the sticky post on top in this forum ). Wich nights do you recommend going to those clubs?

Any other clubs etc you would recommend uss going to? Any other events going down in that period...?

Accpet for that we are going to Sixflags Holland. We got the travel there all figured out

But, how much will fx drinks cost uss in holland? We are students so we need to know how much money well need.. since money is kinda short How much, in general, is a pint of beer? redbull vodka? drinks in general? etc..

For how much can we get lunch? recommended lunch-places in amsterdam? How much is a "meal" at the mcdonalds?

Liquor, beer etc in stores.. how much is that? We might want to buy some to bring home, since liqour uis rather expensive in sweden... sixer of beer? 70cl bacardi rom? 70cl vodka?

Princing at mysteryland is also a bit of a mysterium.. ive heard everything from 2E a drink to 7E.. how much is the food and drinks there?

Also.. these.. umm, not busses, like small trains that goes around amsterdam.. you know Should you buy some kinda week-pass or just pay as we step on? We live quite central.. Marnixstraat, its right next to leidsplein... so we donno how much we will need to go on those things. what do you think?

Coffeshops.. wich are the best? Here, pricing dosnt matter :P Top notch coffeshop, wich one?

Shopping... we live in a small town in sweden, shopping sucks
We'd like some nice clubwear, recommended shops? Course well by some mysteryland tshirs and stuff, i also promised to fetch a tiesto tshirt / shirt wathever to my sister, where can i find that?

Since we are small town ppl, we are the ultimate pray for robbers and all kinds of gangsters What areas of amsterdam should we stay out off? What things to watch out for? Uss small town ppl dont got the infamous "street smarts" i belive

Ill see if i have some mer Q's later on, really appreciate if you help uss out! Thanks!

in a supermarket it is not that expensive. 12 euro for 24 bottles of heineken. On a terrace a glas of beer is 2-3 euro

For how much can we get lunch? recommended lunch-places in amsterdam? How much is a "meal" at the mcdonalds?

lunch at mc donalds is about 5-6 euro. Eating in small restaurants near leidseplein is also not that expensive

Princing at mysteryland is also a bit of a mysterium.. ive heard everything from 2E a drink to 7E.. how much is the food and drinks there?

beer will be around 2 euro. a hamburger between 4-6

Also.. these.. umm, not busses, like small trains that goes around amsterdam.. you know Should you buy some kinda week-pass or just pay as we step on? We live quite central.. Marnixstraat, its right next to leidsplein... so we donno how much we will need to go on those things. what do you think?

well in the centre of amsterdam most things are in walkingdistance. but if you want to see a lot of things on 1 day it maybe get a bit exhausting. you can pay in the small train, there are also passes availble. check out the site of amsterdam public transport company:

www.gvb.nl

click on tourist guide and there is a lot of info in various languages

Coffeshops.. wich are the best? Here, pricing dosnt matter :P Top notch coffeshop, wich one?

i am not a smoker but i heard these coffeeshops are quitte nice:

dampkring
the bulldog
222

there are all kind of clothing shops in amsterdam. from prada to second hand. just walk around a bit. Tiesto merchendise i dont know, canīt you order them on the net? I know you can buy them in tiesto home town breda, in his record store but the city breda is about an hour with train

Since we are small town ppl, we are the ultimate pray for robbers and all kinds of gangsters What areas of amsterdam should we stay out off? What things to watch out for? Uss small town ppl dont got the infamous "street smarts" i belive

Well, look out for muggers on train when you carrying a lot of luggage. Always know where you wallet is and donīt wave your new high-end 4 megapixel nokia telephone around. Also at night watch out if you walk throug the red light district. In daytime it is safe because the local maffia and hells angels are controlling the place but deep in the night you must watch out there. But i think there arent really no go areas in amsterdam
