x0x style drum machine vsti

I remember a while back a few of you (myself included) were looking for a drum machine vsti that was capable of the old-school x0x-style sequencing.

I've only heard the demo, and from that, it seemed to be targeting the electro crowd. However, having not used the demo, I can't be entirely sure. Reviews of the product can be found here:

http://www.kvr-vst.com/get/759.html

The first few reviews slag it for the 16-step sequencer, but I don't think those people know what x0x style sequencing is.

And the company homepage is here:

I sound like I'm advertising it (and that's only because I want it to be awesome so I can use it), but the electro demo + lack of sampling is giving me second thoughts. Anyone wanna try out the demo and tell me what you think of it for trance/techno style productions? I don't really wanna install it, only to uninstall it later.

Its awesome.

But probably not what you want. If you want solely trance production, you're gonna want some sampled sounds especially for stuff like hi-hats. you might be able to get some useful kicks and snares out of this machine though.

On a side note, I wish more developers would write for Mac OS X.

Less people use it, but perhaps thats a good thing.....less piracy.

You write a VST for windows, and in a week a million people will have it, and maybe 20 bought it.

It's pretty average for trance. I tried the demo a few months back and was dissapointed. You really need something that can sample. I still think (after a long time looking) that redrum is the best X0X style drum sampler out there. You have to rewire which is a pain, but the others are annoying.
