Make sure that the input you have connected the table to on the amplifier is a PHONO input. If it doesn't say phono on it, chances are it won't have a ground plug either. Since it has an MD-out, this suggests to me that it is a very recent amp and as such might not have a phono input at all.
If this is the case, you definitely need to get your hands on either a mixer, and use the REC-OUT to connect to your mixer, or find an older amp from somewhere that does have a phono input. Since this is an older amp, it won't have an MD-out, but you can just connect your RCA's to the tape-out instead and this will do the same job.
But above all, make sure the table gets plugged into a phono input! It simply won't work properly at all if you don't do this!
