How does this work; does it reduce sound quality?

I'm recording a vinyl.. i'm a little miffed about the occasional pop here and there.. so I'm thinking to edit it.

There was a huge pop at the end of this one song.. and when i applied the declicker, it acted as if it wasn't there! indeed cool, but I just have some questions

Never had any problems with click/hiss/pop removers reducing sound quality. I generally try to select as small a section as possible surrounding the clicks when I use those types of plugins...but just enough so that the plugin knows what the regular levels are. But after using them I notice no audible degradation in sound quality.

If you're getting more than one or two occasional clicks/pops here and there, you may want to just clean the record and try again. Lots of people in this forum recommend Gruv Glide, which I think is a spray-and-wipe type of thing...never used it myself but I hear it works wonders.
