I'm very satisfied with this change. I don't have to wait for banners to load (burstnet ads for some reason always slowed me down), I don't have to see those annoying flashing ads, unscrupulous internet advertisers can no longer track my browsing habits using cookies and my chances of being infected by spyware or malware are greatly reduced.
I highly recommend it.

No, but you really only have to download the one file and put it in the proper folder on your computer. The rest of the instuctions aren't really necessary unless you're having a problem.
I've used that "trick" for about a year now; it does work quite well.
And whenever you come across an unblocked banner, you can just add the server to your hosts file (assuming there's nothing else on that server you want to view).
