DJM 600 question

i have a djm-600 2 mk2's and trakmaster 2 needles

any ideas why my right channel is always 1-2 dbs higher then my left channel on my master output?

Same thing happens to me. But I know that my needle is near the edge of wearing out.

a lot of carts are the same, in that they give out a stronger signal on one channel than the other. its not always a sign that you need new styli (my brand new whitelabel does it) but it can be a sign.

other signs include fluff sticking to it, and lowering sound quality. you can also generally tell how bad the styli are from listening to the ticks coming from the stylus when they are playing from a record. a new stylus will have a very punchy tight tick, worn ones will sound more harsh and scrapy.

I have two brand new whitelabels on mk5gs connected to a DJM. I can also report that you will see this master output variation on the mixer.

its usually a pretty standard differential as well, so usually you can adjust the channel's balance to compensate and not worry about it
