You could learn a really old skool hobby. Knitting, ham radio, or yelling at kids for riding their bikes on the sidewalk.

I knitted my Sooty puppet a scarf when I was six. Oh yes, it's an interesting fact, but I wouldn't recommend it for relieving boredom unless you've either got a Sooty puppet, or you're six years old.
