Not vastly different to the current fsm 600, which means it will probably be shite

Shite- but with rotarys

Why oh why oh why dont they put kills on their mixers- the eqs (especially the bass) have nowhere near enough cut (i use one every week)

At least they have learnt from their mistakes and got rid of the main power switch from the top of the front casing

i hope to god they have improved their split cue - as its shit.

I will reserve final judgement until ive tried it

:edit:- just read the full specs- old fsm 600 had only -10 Db of cut... this has -25, which is an improvement. Other comments stand though until tested.

Sound quality is fine- just the eqs and very basic features let it down a tad.(for a professional standard mixer in a large club anyway)

Split cue is/was very bad indeed- i dont know what the hell they have done but its unlike any ive ever heard in my life.
Short faders too- not that that will be an issue with this one

Definatley usable-just not the greatest mixer ive ever used

I noticed the faders get crackly/noisy easier than most- but it seems rugged and chunky.

A couple of instances with knobs coming off in my hand when turning them- but other than that it seems well made enough.

I used an older formula sound for years in one venue, and it kept working- depite half the knobs being lost etc... same as any mixer i suppose-service/clean them and they will last.

dont you have a urei? Why on earth would you want to replace that!!?

yeah i have heard it was supposed to be the same thing thou....just new....well see..i have not seen this anywhere on the soundcraft site(there are supposed to be building it) of this happening!

if u have an oppurunity to get a bozak and urei i would do it....i had a great time switching between the 2......also i have added IC chip sockets to UREI where i can change the IC chips and get different types of sound outta it which is really cool also...

Hey Trinity, I know you have a Urei, but as far as I'm aware you also have a Bozak, if so, I was wondering what kind of sound system you got it hooked up to, like model of amp, speakers and wire?

right now i switch between the bozak and urei

first it goes to an Alesis RA 500 AMP (150 x 150 RMS @ 8 ohms) then from there the speaker level outputs from the amp go to a JBL PB12 Subwoofer (self powered 250 watt subwoofer) which has a crossover then from there it goes to a pair of EV Sx80 Monitors 8 inch. so the sub takes all the frequencies below 150 hz then feeds the EV's with 150HZ and up.

all the wires are made from 16 gauge sheiled wire that i soldered 1/4" jacks on.

its not much but it does rumble the whole house heavy duty!

Very nice man, thats some good gear, do you think that gear still isn't upto par on producing the sound quality that the Bozak can deliver?
