I dunno exactly how to measure it...but on my older PC's I would listen loud enough so I couldn't hear someone talking loudly in the same room...(headphones)
On my new PC with the volume maxed though...my ears have been ringing after listening to 2-3 hr sets

Loud. I used to listen to them extremely loud but I blew out the crappy receiver that was running my big speakers.

Watch it guys. My bf is only 22 but he's DJ'd for a few years and listened to tunes loud like you guys or whatever and now he has something like a 6% hearing loss already, his doctor said.

I honestly see going deaf doing/hearing something I love as the best way of all

Its hard to tell whats ok and whats not though...it would be cool if there was a decibel measuring system...

I like it loud but my apartment simply cannot tolerate it and I am afraid that I gonna be deaf so I listen to the music but still can hear who is talking in the room.
