ive searched high and low for info on the release date of the Apple G5 PowerBook. the most info i can turn up on it is this: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/01/27/apple_site_powerbook_g5/
and they also just dropped the prices of all the G4 powerbooks on the applestore. seems to me that it is coming very soon. i need a laptop before mid-march and i dont know if i should wait for the g5 or just go ahead and buy the now discounted G4.
i was wondering if anyone had any insider info about when we can expect this badboy!

No one knows when the G5 Powerbooks will be around. I suspect it won't be for quite some time since Apple only just announced a new line of G4 Powerbooks: http://www.apple.com/powerbook/

I doubt there will be a G5 Powerbook soon, as the IBM cpu's used in the G5 generate a lot of heat. Too much to make effective cooling "portable". My guess is you'll see dual core G4 powerbooks sooner than G5's...
