all the big names like sasha and digweed etc. are always on wednesdays and sundays in calgary for the most part

not really when markets like new york la miama and a crapload of other places want the same djs of course a place like calgary isnt going to get the good dates

It all comes down to the mighty dollar. Big and popular clubs have more cash to spend on getting acts to come down and spin. With a smaller market like Calgary, clubs here just don't want (or can't afford) to pony up a whole lot to get a well known DJ to spin. The DJ probably want more $$$ to play on the weekend vs. a day like Wednesday. Well at least that's my guess.
