is it me or is the winamp random function uhm.. not very random?? it seems like the songs are always the same... i remember a post about this before but i couldnt find it. thank you for ur help!
in one of the options menu, you can change the rate of variability within the random function...options -> preferences -> playlist & there's a little slider you can screw around with there.
maybe that'll help..

Do what Nou suggested and randomize your music, this will help for a little while but if you are using a large playlist it will still fall into a pattern after a while. Whenever this happens randomize again.

OMFG PWNED
but winamp plays songs based upon what it thinks you like, ie, you play a song six or seven times, itll put it in random more often. and if it gets picked randomly a good few times, itll be played even more often, just a vicious cycle.

yea, it takes a certain number of songs, say 15 randomly picked songs, and recycles them. thats why i use windows media.

If I played all the shit on my harddrive, it would take days. I guess if I cued it that way, that would be random enough, but I normally just click on stuff I want to hear, unless I'm at work and playing off of a disk.
