There was once a man based in virginia, named Timothy Mosley also more known as Timbaland, how had a talent for making awesome beats, beats that outshined the vocalist or the rapper on the track. Many say however that he lost his touch after his sound got copied to death, and i do agree with that and also the fact that he started repeating himself and it became annoying in the end. And also his rapping is some of the most selfwhoring verbal crap i ever heard. But none the less the man has done some amazing tracks, and deserves an appreciation thread.
(and please spare me the omfg hiphop suckz comments)

What more can be said about the massive impact he has had on hip hop or just pop music as we know it? To make his jittery, jerking productions go down so well in the club as well as in the charts is quite an impressive effort. Add the ability to find the most supergluing hooks, and you have a winner. Just too bad that he's been treading the same ground recently.

i'd actually like to give timbaland some serious credit as well. he has actually developed my own sound, especially when it comes to producing. hes not afraid to try things that haven't been done before and i really think they work. defiently a guy whos in it for the music and not the money

Yeah, Timbaland is one of my favorite hiphop producers. I was reading an article in Scratch magazine and someone who worked with him (I think Scott Storch) said that Timb usually doesn't pay attention to all the high quality shit.. and he sometimes will just use a 1/8" wire to send audio over. Amazing.
