DC Question
Chances are I'll be attending GW in the fall as getting into Johns Hopkins from the waitlist will be hard. For all you DC people: what's the Foggy Bottom area of DC like? Nice? Ghetto-y? Also, are there a lot of internship possibilities and the like? Considering I will be studying international politics, internships at NGO's and the like will be very important.
thanks for the help.

I can't answer your questions, but I'm almost 100% positive that occrider could. (I'm almost certain he attended GW)
He doesn't post in NYTA very often, so try PM'ing him or catching him in the PDD forum.
Don't tell him I sent you, just let him think that you tracked him down.

I'm trying to push the multitasking envelope. Adding links adds to the challenge.

I have a lot of friends at GW and I hang out in the foggy bottom area a lot. It's a pretty nice area, definitley NOT ghetto. Mainly residential, sandwhiched right inbetween the governmental buildings to the south and the K st. commercial corridor to the north, and not too far from the M St/Dupont Circle area which has a great nightlife.

No, but I love the quote in your sig.
The full quote is:
quote:
"It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."
