If you can find it in the bargain bin or whatever (as it's a few years old), get Sacrifice by Shiny Entertainment....same guys that did Earthworm Jim.

Or get Total Annihilation, awesome physics-based real time strategy. Also a few years old.

those are the best two games that have come out in the last couple of years for any system

I played AVP2 for a while. It had a great multiplayer games.

Best Online action Game: Unreal Tournament 2004

Best Looking shoot’em’up game: Half Life 2.

Best Strategies: Warhammer: Dawn of War / Star Craft.

Best War Game: Ghost Recon. (I just read that they are not releasing Ghost Recon 2 out for pc. They have already gone into GR3 development. Apparently GR2 wasn’t that great & they don’t want to put the effort into releasing in on PC. GR3 is to have a major upgrade)
