There are two ways of doing automation in the new version of FL. First, like somebody said, you can click record button and then turn the knobs. The change in envelopes for this knob will be recorded. To view these changes, right click on the knob and select edit (or something similar to that, i forget). You will be shown the envelope where you can manually draw on it. This is the old way which I hate.
In the new version there is a new feature called Automation Clips. You can place these Clips (tracks) in your Play List (at the bottom). Then you can assign any parameter to this Clip that you want to automate. The Automation Clip has automation envelope ontop of it just like in albeton live, logic, or cubase. It is much easier to do it this way and you see what is happening in the song.
To get more info about this, find Automation Clips in the manual.
