Shame / Disagreement When something goes missing...

What do you do?

I had a few people over to my place on Friday after Niall's birthday at Revival (thanks to everyone who came out!). I wasn't inside the whole time, and my place is so small, that who would think that someone would take something... especially something so strange....

I'm making pizza on Sunday, and I go to grab my oven mitt out of my drawer... it's not there!

I ask Niall... did he move it/take it/wash it?

Nope. He thinks someone took it "for the craic". Fair enough.

The sad thing is that it was one of the few things left that I inherited from my friend Aurora who passed away. I would always think of her when I used it. That's what ticks me off. Not the fact that it's gone, but it had sentimental value. I'm going to Ikea today to buy a new dreser and an oven mitt.

that is the strangest thing i ever heard go missing.

and these things happen to me all the time. things go missing (for example my shoes and clothes) and i think someone takes them. but they don't, they are just around.

in this case tho, since i know you place is not too big, where could an ovenmitt go?

have you pulled all the draws out of the cabinate? I've had stuff fall out of the draw and down the back of the cabinate to the floor.

I am sooooo bad when something goes missing.. I start making up scenarios in my head on who might have took it.. turns me super shady towards many people.
I really have to stop doing that.. cuz I usually end up finding what was missing and then I feel like the biggest ass.

Wow...who steals oven mitts...

You should make an appearance at everyone's house who was at your place and hijack their oven mitts and then start a ransom thread for your own oven mitt back.

I joke.

But seriously..that's the weirdest sh*t I've heard of someone stealing.

P.S. I LOVE IKEA.

I hate Ikea right now. I went there on Saturday to pick up a bedroom set.... grabbed the set and loaded all the boxes into a truck, drove to my house unloaded them all (most of the boxes were about 100lbs... they list the weight on the box). I start to put the set together and then realize that four of the peices are the wrong colour... I check the box and they have the product code for the right colour but clearly they were mislabled. So, I load the boxes back into the truck, exchange them, load the new boxes, take them home, unload them... then I made the mistake of turning my head... next thing I know I have a muscle spasm ripping through my neck that feals like someone tearing out my sternal cleatal mastoid (I know I spelt that wrong). Now my back and neck are so tight I can hardly move. I'm going to have to get some good muscle relaxers for US8.... or lots of K.

I totally searched down the backs of the drawers... I didn't even find the matching pot holder, either!

Weird. I guess someone needed it more than I did!

I hate thinking that someone took it! But like Margs said, there's not many places for it to go. I even checked the fridge and freezer!

First a toilet seat gets broken...

...now an oven mitt goes missing.

It's the TOTA curse.
