Pioneer EFX Send And Return Cables
Having a bit of trouble finding some cables to run my EFX through the send and return on my mixer.
Basically I can't find the correct ones, I know I need 6.3mm jack to 6.3mm jack, but do I need mono or stereo? the manual is a piece of crap where this concerned.
If anyone has their set up running like this or knows how to get it like that can you tell me what cables you are using and or direct me to a link.
You need mono cables, or a stereo pair. Guitar cable will do it, or a studio patch cable, or just a cheap rca. In laymans terms-: 1 socket=1 mono lead.
Jack sockets are at +4dB and rca at -10db on the efx I think- or its the other way round

Thanks for the replies so far guys, I already have the manual and its not much good as to telling me what leads I need. It just says 6.3mm phone leads, I will have a look at my mixer manual and see what that says I think there should be something in there.

I think you are stressing out over the simplest of things!
its just a simple 1/4" jack (yes like the htfr linked one).
It makes no difference if you plug a stereo jack into each socket, as the socket is mono only.
So basically ANY 6.5 mm jack lead will work fine.

No stress just wanna put it through the send and returns and its something I don't know f all about , so seeking a bit of help in making sure I get it right.
I already have it hooked up using rca's between the mixer and amp but not send and return as the send and return sockets on my mixer are jack ones.
Getting a bit fed up with having the effects over evrything thats playing rather then just having them assigned to each channel and having to plug the efx in everytime I want to listen to my music.
Anyway heres a pic of the back of my mixer.
If the cables at htfr are ok for this I'll just get 4 of them to do the job, all I can find at most places are the jack to two rca leads or just rca's like you mentioned. imo Pioneer should include these cables in the box when you buy the EFX.

Right
Get four of these:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....7335103433&rd=1 or altentively the ones from htfr(biggest rip off in the uk), or go to maplins or any shop and get 4 jack to jack cables for peanuts ( my local electronics bargain basement sells them for £1 a pair). The htfr ones may be a leetle bit to long too! 6 metres?! Altenatively, just buy some RCA/jack convertor plugs- even cheaper than buying jack cables.
Plug 2 of them into the bottom right marked effects send.
Plug the other end of those into the input on the efx.
Plug the other two cables into the output of the efx.
plug the ends of those final two into the effects return.
Job done
Personally, I dont use the send/return on my vestax- i prefer it over the whole mix. Its a personal thing i suppose- last time i worked with james zabiela, he hooke dit up so the efx1000 was between one cdj1000 and the input channel for that cdj- so he could only plut effects on that one cdj! Not that you could tell!

Cheers freak, helps alot thanks.
That seller had 4 avaliable so I bought them all, and yeah with them being 1 meter its alot better as my mixer and efx are not too far apart.
I know what you mean about having it just to the cd deck but that would mean having 3 efx's to have effects on all my decks
Also if I'm using it with send and return I can still put it over everything when I need to by switching the effects button on all the channels so its ok.
