PARIS, Aug 3 (Reuters) - Zinedine Zidane has decided to play for France again, the midfielder announced on Wednesday.
The Real Madrid player had announced his retirement from international football after Euro 2004 a year ago.
"(France coach) Raymond Domenech came to see me two or three times in Madrid and he told me what he expected from me," Zidane said on his personal website.
Zidane will play for France in their next match, a friendly against Ivory Coast on August 17 in Montpellier.
The 33-year-old has won 93 caps, scoring 26 goals for France. He helped his country win the World Cup in 1998 and the European championship in 2000.
What do you think of his 'come back'?

honestly ? Desperation. When retired, they should say so imho. Let the future of the nations talent sort them out of the mess, they'll only learn by doing so

realizing he aint gonna win trophies with Real anymore
he made a wise decision going for the WC in Germany
nah serious (hmm wait a moment, i meant that too )
guess he was just disappointed with France's results couple years back and thought it wasnt worth the effort anymore
now he's just playing for fun i guess and feels like having some fun at the french national squad
(which all seem xtremely boring dudes to me)
this could put some pressure on him though,
he'll have to perform now

I hope he'll play just behind the attack line.

He is still one of the best midfielder out there, but him alone will not be able to carry French team. Trezeguet needs a kick in the nuts, along with rest of strikers. Defenders are either old and slow, or unproven. Barthez is... Barthez.
So yeah, the Golden days of french football is over.

Trezeguet was just injured a lot of time last year , that's why we didn't see more often.
I guess Barthez won't play for french team again as he's suspended from any competition until october and will miss the last qualifying games.
