LOVE PARADE SF LOGISTICS (hotel, directions, etc.)
I saw some messages about this elsewhere, but can't find them anymore, so thought I'd start a new thread.
Anyone know of good hotels in San Francisco convenient to the underground Muni, the clubs or parade route?
How does one get to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium? Is it easy without having a car, will I need to sell my vinyl collection to afford a cab ride back to the city? (I wouldn't anyway, but just asking )
Any plans for a TA meet-up? I'm planning on wearing my TA t-shirt at the parade (last year there wasn't much Trance music and my friends who visited the Love Parade from NL said that really sucked, so I want to show my support!) There's still time to order TA t-shirts from the shop if anyone needs one.
Anyone else have questions? (not about the DJ lineup though, see the other thread for that)

While not in the most spectacular area but a decent hotel is the Ramada Plaza Downtown San Francisco ... which is between like 8th an 9th street and Market...underground Civic Center MUNI station is 8th and Market and and the LP festival and afterparty is about a block and half from this location...
And even if you decided to go the Ten15 afterparty, it's maybe a 3 or 4 minute cab ride from here ... or 5 block walk (3 blocks down to Folsom, 2 over to 6th & Folsom)
Note San Francisco overall is a VERY SMALL city...so cab rides within all the areas that you will ever need should only costs you a few bucks.
I have a feeling traffic is going to be HELL all weekend. Where's a good/safe place (decent rates) to park my car until Sunday?

Thanks for the info. I also read some good reviews of the King George Hotel, I believe it's near Union Square and a little bit less expensive. Anyone know if the Bill Graham Civic Center is an outdoor venue like the LA Coliseum, or if it's enclosed? The weather can be unpredictable in SF and I'd like to stay warm...if it's open, I think I'd rather go to 1015 (but with the massive DJ lineup of these events, it's a hard choice, really! )

I've never been to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, but everyone I come across who speaks about it says it's a greaattt place for events like this.

If you get a hotel, just park at the hotel (might be valet)...you'd get the cheapest rate. Otherwise, you'd have to find a 24 hour garage which are helllaa expensive.
Any word yet what the VIP ticket people get for the Spundae after party?

ahaha..i stayed there last year for the love parade. one good thing about that place was that you got free parking! but it was sooo ghetto. lol. anyhow this year i am staying at club quarters in financial district.
