How do you make Tracks?

The first thing I do is think about what type of song I want to
Produce.
next comes the melodie, I mostaly make the cords up the same time
as the melodie.
next is the pads which I use the cord notes for this.
then last for me is the drum tracks and sound FXs.

i will work on a drumbeat, then bassline, then melody

then i will lay it out and last add effects and breaks and tweak the track, then master it

I always just start with a 4/8/16 measure loop (however long the melody takes to cycle)
First I lay down the entire drum track
then sometimes bassline,
sometimes pads (chord progression)
then some more ....supporting tracks
finally the lead synth

Well sometimes it just goes in a different order anyways

Then I have a loop, that will sound like the middle of a song, then it's just a lot of copying and pasting tracks (I put every separate drum sound on another track, that makes this aloot easier) until you get the strucure of your song. Then finally I'll add crash cymbals here and there, snare rolls, zaps and swoooshes, vocals. A bit of mixing and voila.

I usually come up with a fat melody by just playing the keyboard.. then I decide to make a song out of it. Then comes beat, bass.. and stuff like that.

In fact.. what I spend most time on is actually sequencing the track.. oh my god.. it can take weeks . I always try to make it perfect and by doing that I never get satisfied.

I can't wait until I've finished school... more time making music
