About the Space :: Brooklyn Sugar

Finally, a large, live-event venue with a cabaret license in Brooklyn (just north of the Williamsburg Bridge). Formerly the truck repair garage for the Domino Sugar Refinery on the East River, now a two-story, 14,000 square foot cabaret, bar, and restaurant with an open-air, 30,000 square foot Skydeck with sweeping views of the river, Williamsburg, and Manhattan’s midtown skyline. The club, designed by SHED studio (www.shedstudio.com) in collaboration with Freyer Collaborative Architects (www.freyerarchitects.com), is a complete renovation of the original garage into a custom steel, concrete, and glass gem - a rare find in a city of white minimalist boxes with décor fixtures. BK Sugar asserts itself as the beginning of a music, art, and culinary revolution just outside of Manhattan.
