theres a holiday inn, a travelodge, a premiertravel inn and a malmaison all in the city centre which will be about 20-30 min walk from the metroradio arena or a quick taxi ride. They are probably the best bets. There may well be ones closer but i have no idea how cheap they would be.

Jurys Inn/Copthorne are about 5mins from Arena, try expedia they usually have good deals on hotels

Copthorne in Brum was gona be £47.50 pp but I got a room for £50odd from expedia

No point paying that when travelodge rarely charge more than £25 for a double/twin.
