Time for a little xanga/livejournal/bloggermcbloggerson moment. I've been waiting for weeks and weeks for somebody, ANYBODY, to restock the vinyl of Télépopmusik - Into Everything with The MFA remixes. dancerecords.com finally gets it in today. I put it and a few other records in my cart. But I'm one short of the ~5 I need to get free shipping.
So I head down to the local music store to pick up some CDs and try to think of a vinyl to buy. My friend at the music store has been trying to get ahold of a certain Mylo vinyl, and says he'll pay me if I pick it up for him from dancerecords.com. So I merrily purchase my CDs and head back home to add the Mylo record and finish my order.
But then my roommate fucks everything up. We have our internet set up through a wireless router. He has a desktop, and I have a laptop that I run on the wireless. Lately he's been playing Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour. For some reason if he's not directly connected to our cable modem, he gets booted from the game every ten minutes. So I come back and he's deep in the middle of a long game, and I'm fux0red for an internet connection. I ask him if it'll be long and he tells me "yeah." So 17:30 rolls around and I absolutely have to leave for work. Right as I'm about to leave he's like "I'm probably just gonna surrender, do you still need the internet?" Bollox.
So I go to work, hoping the record won't be sold out by the time I get home at 23:00-ish. I come back, and wouldn't you know it, the damn record is sold out.

There're only a few copies on ebay. But more to the point, shipping from dancerecords.com is free. Buy it from ebay and add at least another 50% for shipping. No ta.

but you need to have at least $50 worth of merchandise on dancerecords to qualify for the free shipping.
1 records on eBay + shipping shouldnt be that much, especially if that's a record you really want.

No no, I've got enough other records I want to buy right now to get up to $50. The heart of the matter, anyways, is that my roommate fux0red me over. ):

But then again, if you really want that record, then shipping on eBay (or anywhwere else) shouldn't be too much of a problem though.
Sympathize wth your problem though, many a time have I waited too long and had a record sold out as well. But dont worry you'll get it eventually.

wise words.
Records come in & out of stock all the time. It will probably be back on dancerecords soon. Email them maybe
It doesnt sound like your roommate is much of a bastard at all. So what if he likes to play games? big deal... Unless he does more than that, it seems you just get a little annoyed to easily.

If you're interested you can get both MFA remixes on iTunes for £1.50. I know it's not vinyl though.

Obviously you've never seen anyone play C&C. 1 minute, let alone the more than 2 it would've taken to do the order, wouldn've gotten him raped. ):
