Imo its a case of style over substance. It does work well as a live track but only because of the bombastic bassline and the singalong lyrics. But stripped down it is without doubt the weakest tune SVD has made (there are very few if any).
He obviously made it to get more commercial success which is fair dos to Sander. After Armin has hammering it and passing it about his pals its gona be everywhere by xmas this year. Ive heard it way too much already and am rather sick of it, nite full of "sending out an SOS, sending out an SOS". It does get irritating. Must have heard it 4 times at Global Gatheirng alone.
But like i say well doen on Sander for doing sumthin commercial but making it clubby enuf to still get decent acclaim for it. But its not for me

It's a nice tune. Tears up a club but doesn't do much for home listening, much like tracks like Eye Wall - Bad Deal do.

Weak.
Pure pop for now people circa 1980 whatever.
Somebody stop this trend.
Put away your older brothers record collection. It was not a good song when it was released.

I was just never a fan of the Police.
Sting is a talented man and his solo work is a force.
By the time this song was released the Police sound was like a sponge that has been squeezed to tight.
There is a reason why the Police have never reunited. I agree with Sting.
This song should have never been resurrected.
In my opinion.

+1
lame producers/remixers and lack of originality.

Oh man, why does every tune that is successfull is called "moneygrabbing".. The tune was originally not even intended for releases, only for his sets. Its not his fault the whole world is requesting this tune for a release.
