It's actually not funny at all. And if you think it's funny, you're only kidding yourself. I've watched most of the Intervention shows via On Demand. I have cried a little for all of them. I feel what they must feel. At the end when their family and friends are at the intervention trying to help them out, I can't help but to get emotional about it all. It seems to the addict that they're all against them, but in reality they just want to make things better. Good show.

^^^ I understand your point
but I have intentionally cultivated in myself an inability to care about situations I have no direct control over. It would be a completly different case if I knew or was related to the person. But I refuse to expend some portion of myself for a situation that I cannot change even if i wanted to.

lol it's like that movie 'Meet the Feebles' where that junky puppet finally gets off the crack & turns his life around. He is so happy with himself for getting off the dope & then he gets shot with a machine gun & his head blows off hahahaha
