This man is... well now was... one of my favorite NFL receivers of all time. Just from his character and personality and how he came to the NFL - nay BATTLED through to the NFL WR ranks is just inspirational. He's quite possibly the best #3 receiver of all time and just a great person. I met him briefly when I was 14 at a Jets training camp, seems long ago, but I was just chilling there watching from the stands and he came up, signed a ball, handed it to me and said "Here kid, you want this?". That ball still sits in a glass case in my room.
Maybe I just like him because of that moment but I'll definitely never forget it, or him.
Ohh yeah I always play him as my #3 in Madden every year so it's sad to not be able to do so in 2007.

I always liked him, because he was an undersized WR... always looked up to the guy...
and whenever they played the Pats in the past, he always seemed to leap in the air or dive for balls and grab em... he always seemed to make big catches...
Nothing but respect for him, but I think he waited a few years too late to retire... he was done a long time ago...

wayne chrebet is a very good receiver that was not talked about much, because of keyshawn, santana moss, and laverneus coles around.
one highlight i remember from him is his 2 touchdowns in the "monday night miracle" against the dolphins 2000.

Chrebet reminded me of the ex-bears receiver Tom Waddle..not the biggest, nor fastest guy but always made those gutsy grabs over the middle and hung around and played hard for a good amount of time....
Hmm my Chrebet memory was after keyshawn called him the flashlight...i was at the first bucs vs. jets game after the Keyshawn trade and Martin threw the game winning td to chrebet witha bout a minute left....pissed me off,but it was a great play and yet another one of those humbling Keyshawn moments

a better comparison is ricky proehl.
he always got the job done with the arizona cardinals, and saved the rams super bowl chances vs the bucs.
sadly enough, both chrebet and proehl will not be voted into the HOF for their accomplishments.
