Okay, uh, the forum ate my post. Eep.
Anyways, yea, you *can* go wrong with some of those headphones, ESPECIALLY the MDR-V700DJ, which has so many faults so as to be a waste of money compared to what you can get at an equal, or lesser price.
Here are the three DJ headphones I would suggest. they go from lowest to highest sound quality, and highest to lowest physical versatility (read: foldability) but *all* work WELL for DJing:
Sennheiser HD25 <--folds every which way
Sony MDR-V6 <-- folds most every which way
Beyerdynamic DT250-80 <--doesn't fold
Anyways, here are the links I suggest you read, in order:

http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...&threadid=29639
http://www.cs.cf.ac.uk/user-bin/T.J...ge=DJ+Equipment
Basically, all three of those headphones sound better than those... lesser dj headphones, like those made by IXOS, Technics, and the Sony MDR-V700DJ.. and, between all of the three I suggested, you can get the features you want at the price you want! Read these links for details. Heck, look at my sig!!
