Firstly - What a tune !

Secondly what is that synth at 05.27 of the original mix? Is there a name for this sound or at least an attempt of this effect in reason or any vst for that matter ?

It really brings the tune up,I also like the "chug along" buildup-beat.

It's seems like the typical Vangelis sounds ..Something combined with fm modulation ...but i'm not an expert...anyway post a sample if you want that people help you ...even because not everyone has that track !

I don't know if this is what you had in mind. I whipped this up quick in Reason. It's not that great, but it sounds pretty close.
