Artic Breeze....I really appreciate your time for giving me feedback and will be definitely giving it a try. I actually don't have much direct contact with that many people who actually produce locally, so I guess that's what the forums are for! Thanks a lot again, and I look forward to hearing more commentary from ya on my future works!

I like the mid-bass layer that starts just before 0:20. Percs sounds good, but I think your hihats are too thin. You should add some to the lower freq's there or add another hihat sample. I didn't like the sound of the flanged bass thingy, you should try to make it brighter/less wet. And when you use it after the break (which is allright) you should make it follow the tones from the strings. |

the drums are really good in the beginning...very driving. The bassline / synth thing that comes in doesn't sound in place to me. It kind of takes away from the track...the bassline should be a little simpler since you have so much drumwork going on and really that should be accentuated. The strings and the break down are good.

Bassline is nice but needs some deeper layers. Feels like it's only hitting in the mid ranges. I like some of the tribal-ish percussions. I'm at around 1:30 right now, and this feels a little bit chaotic. I can't even hear the mid-bass anymore. Strings in the break are nice, but at first they just feel muffled under all those percussions. The perc layers stop too suddenly. Try adding some more 'transition' elements (rises, crashes, swells, etc). I think you've got some good individual elements in there, but you just need to arrange them in a more 'organised' fashion. Feels pretty chaotic right now. Also I get the impression your elements are fighting for EQ space. Maybe the 'tribal' drums could use a little low cut.

Geeeeezzz!!! I'm loving the feedback. I'll keep this post short since I wrote a lil long one in my other song thread. I will definitely play around with your suggestions as well, and see what happens. I know this track is pretty raw, maybe that's what I like about it, but doesn't mean that I'm open for ideas, especially if the mixdown isn't quite complete. Thanks!

[Deep Epic Trance] Illumin - Hadrian's Effect(Another Brick in Hadrian's Wall)Revised
Just finished doing some revisions to this track. After trying to make that earlier, groggy bassline work, I decided to scrap it and work with a new, simpler one. Also completely redid the mixdown, however, it was only thru my headphones this time, not thru my monitors cuz i've been getting complaints from the neighbors recently (apartments SUCK!!!)!!! So please, any feedback on the bassline and mixdown would be great, especially from some of ya's that already commented!
Thanks!!!
