This Sunday (post-TT) @ Altitude - Luke Chable+Steve May+Interview+InProgress
If you've made it down to the Sunrise Sessions or Serendipity over the past month, you know how sweet it is to spend a Sunday on the balcony while we spin you our favourite tunes. Given how big a certain music festival is this coming Saturday night, the crews behind the Sunrise Sessions (Altitude's Sunday mornings) and Serendipity (Altitude's Sunday afternoons & evenings) thought we'd offer up our own quality all-day party for all fans of bass, beats and melody. As we've been doing all month, we'll be moving the decks in amongst the couches and cushions for that 'lazy day at a mate's place' vibe.
That big show down the road ain't the only place with fancy stage names, either. We've got a pretty sweet lineup too, with internationals, locals, ex-pats and refugees! (well ok, just one refugee)
Plan for the day is as follows:
8AM-2PM: The Sunrise Sessions
8AM-10AM THE INTERVIEW STAGE (Matt Belleghem (CAN), Andrew Campbell & Ben Evans)
10AM-12PM THE INPROGRESS STAGE (Paulie_C, Lister Cooray and Nikko)
12PM-2PM THE ARMADA/COLDHARBOUR STAGE (Steve May)
2PM-10PM: Serendipity
2PM-4PM THE PRIVATE FUNCTION/GERMAN APPRECIATION STAGE (Dean Millson)
4PM-6PM THE TROJAN RECORDS/GLOBAL UNDERGROUND STAGE (Luke Chable)
6PM-8PM THE DARKBEAT/PROTON MUSIC STAGE (Rollin Connection – Darius Bassiray & Daniel Banko)
8PM-10PM THE ALTITUDE/DAVE SEAMAN LOOKALIKE STAGE (Rick Robbins)
Entry before 2PM (ie to The Sunrise Sessions) is $8 General or $5 with evidence of having attended the big show down the road.
Entry after 2PM (ie to Serendipity) is $5
If you stay through from the morning you get double the value (cos you only pay once, and once you're in, you're in!)
All of this is set within the intimate space that is Altitude on a Sunday. No 'nightclub during the day', we've got couches, chairs, friendly barstaff and most importantly a spacious and sunny outdoor balcony right next to the decks and dancefloor. In short, this is what a recovery/afterparty/Sunday should be like - so if you need to pop home and grab your thongs and sunnies, go for it!
They'll let you in any time after about 5AM, and Tigerfunk is playing his blend of proggy breaky funky stuff till 8AM, so those of you who choose to head in early will have your ears well taken care of while we patiently wait for the balcony to open at 8AM.
