MTLNIGHTS TO CELEBRATE IT’S 4th YEAR ANNIVERSARY @ STEREOBAR
Mtlnights.com, Montreal’s most infamous house music related message board will be celebrating it’s 4th year anniversary in style @ Stereobar on Friday March 10th starting @ 10PM. Washington DC native & local upstart DJ Miss Molly will be opening up for Dizzy resident DJ Dav. This will be the official pre-party for Move @ Stereo with DJ Heather, Rob Brown & Max Hebert.
Mtlnights started off as a spoof of the legendary Global Underground message board back in early 2002, but quickly legitimized itself within a few weeks with its first industry tiff. Daniel Cordiero from 514 Productions & Jean-Fred from Aria Nightclub got into some kind of online scuffle over a Sasha & Digweed booking @ Sona (oh my have we ever moved on folks!). This helped jump start the board’s ascension into the annals of Montreal nightlife history, and set the overall tone for years to come.
Mtlnights also spawned the short-lived existence of the Afterchat community, a community mostly made up of expatriate Mtlnights members. Unfortunately Afterchat closed it’s doors in early 2005. We’d like to give a shout out to the ‘soon to be married’ Tina & Craig for their contribution to the online house music lovers scene.

What does Mtlnights have planned for the future? A booking agency for local and international DJs and artists that will focus on getting them some exposure in Montreal and abroad. There is no replacement for good artist representation; it’s what separates the mediocre from the best. Also in the works is a fully operational web portal that will serve as a one stop shop for all things Montreal house music related.
