Everything was perfect!
Totally agree. Roseland was an excellent venue for this sort of event. Plenty of space to dance, never a line for the bathroom (sorry women!), reasonably easy to get a drink. Even coat check was easy! Agreed, Jerry Bonham did a great job warming up. PVD's set was one of the best I've heard. I stayed till the very end -- the last 30 minutes or so he basically spun a lot of his singles -- great way to end. All in all fantastic night. And thank the lord it was 21 and over!!

First off, Christina and I had a lot of fun tonight. It was the culmination of one of the better clubbing weekends we've had in awhile. Saw a few familiar faces, but we weren't wandering that much and the venue was huge and spacious. We were up near the Toronto people for awhile but you guys all seemed to disappear.
I like Dogzilla - Without You, but Paul didn't need to play it twice. There's enough tracks out there that he could fill 6 hours with different material. Also, the last 30 minutes were crap. In addition to the 2nd rendition of "Without You," he really needs to stop doing that shit where he plays "Nothing But You," "For An Angel," and "Time of Our Lives" every time. Look, we all know them, we used to love them (before you closed every set with them), but it's getting old.
Lots of stuff from his Champion's Mix CD in the first hour of his set, which was far superior to TPOD2 if you haven't heard it.
Who else heard him sample Dinky - Acid in My Fridge right off the bat (I think the transition between track 2 and 3)?
Lastly, does anyone know what happened with the power at 2:45-3 am? It really sucked when the music died for 3-4 minutes and everyone looked disoriented..

Well Mr. Van Dyk delivered again! Overall thought the set was ear candy from about 1-4 at which point he slowed down a bit, and then back up to familiar tempo shortly after 5 until close.
Noteable mentions:
Yellow Blackbird - Supafly
Dogzilla - Without You (TWICE!) [ya, I dunno...]
Luminary - Wasting
Luminary - Amsterdam
Paul Van Dyk - For An Angel
Paul Van Dyk - Crush (Vandit remix though, dammit play the original!)
Paul Van Dyk - Nothing But You
Paul Van Dyk - Time of our Lives
Whiteroom ft. Amy Cooper - Someday
Mike Koglin vs. Jono Grant - Sequential
Second Sun - Playground
There's more I can't recall at the moment. Please excuse me as I get a little celebrity struck whenever I go to see him. Very into his set as well - jumping around, playing air guitar, lots of smiles and waves.
Roseland Ballroom seemed to be the perfect venue. Lots of space, nice seating area at the back and good ventilation.
He came down afterwards to autograph stuff. Hah, I'll apologize to everyone that was pestering me there now for not approaching him. I'm shy!
To all the NYTAs that I was introduced to, truly my pleasure and thanks again for being so hospitable and helpful around your city. I'm more impressed each time I come here. To Fran especially, I cannot thank you enough for putting up with us for the entire weekend. Thank you so so much.
Finally - Lisa, Cale, Andrea, Andrew, Pett, Ilyia, Nada, Ali, Kelly and Kelly - friends make experiences like this and I really cannot ask for better ones.
See you in August New York!
