DJs: new release & what are you buying? thread
I'm curious as to what the many DJs in this forum are buying (either on vinyl or digitally) - so let's keep this thread for new music purchase discussion!
Me:
Unai - I like your style (specifically for the Martinez remix) - dubby minimal techno ish
Chelonis & Jones - deer in the headlights (the DJ Hell remix is going to be a HUGE tune!) - this was released on Get Physical a few weeks ago
Marak Bois (aka Dapayk) - boisboisbois (Trapez #60) - Dapayk is becoming one of my favorite minimal techno producers...weird glitchy shit.
Audio Werner - Zwrtshak Drive - not so much a new release but a repress that I couldn't pass up. Audio Werner produces some really serious dancefloor groovy minimal tech.
Audio Werner - Just Dar it (Trapez 37) - a small write up I found on this release:
"Audio Werner has just hit the German charts in Groove magazine as No.1, being the first Cologne artist to do so for a long time. His Jack Track 'Zwrtshak Drive' on Hardchef made it into the record case of many DJs, among them: Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Guido Schneider, Mathias Kaden, Mathias Tanzmann and Andre Galluzzi, etc. Now Cologne's fine label Trapez Ltd. has asked Audio Werner for two releases. The first EP, Just Dar It, is a strong Latin groover in a jack track format jamming away with it's sexy A-side 'Just Wanna Get Down.' The flipside track 'Dar Papaya' has cool grooves for the DJ and a stronger punch than the A-side track."
