talking about guitars... Apart from being a DJ I also play the guitar (people say, I'm really good:-), and my alltime favorite guitarist is Ritchie Blackmore in the early 70ties (remember Deep Purple, you, old tymers?) I cannot consider myself to be very old (turning 19 this April:+), but trying to embrace every life branch (and listening to a lot of artists in every kind of music), I can tell, that now I can hardly find a really good-playing guitarist. The only real pro on my mind is Kirk Hammet. He has incredible technique, but I cannot say the same thing about the differece in his solos - all of them are the same... And for the rest of them (lead players), none them is capable ,with all the FX processors and pedals, to do what Jimmy and Ritchie did in 60ties-70ties... Do you think DJing and dance culture have the same fate - in 30 years people won't be able to do with all the technology innovations what Oakenfold can do today?
