so i figured out (no thanks to yous) that advertising is the artsy shit..i figured so

marketing is following trends and what not and they tell the engineers to do what they think they should do..etc.

i wonder if i should go to school /thinks

i think i want advertising, because i like creativeness and what not in a job. but my only question is the idustry already full of people like me who want to make commercials because they think it's easy,.

Advertising deals with getting a companies message across to their target audience on a certain product or service.

Marketing's job is to identify the needs and wants of consumers and satisfy them.

I'd take marketing if I were, since it's a little more broad and you'll take advertising as part of marketing anyways. Be prepared to do lots of presentations though.
