I came across this old Doors song the other day and I haven't been able to stop working on it. this is what I've got so far. my main problem I think is the structure of the song, it just doesn't sound right to me. something about the breakdown seems awkward. I've also been at a loss for what effects to use, because most of them take away from the strength of Jim Morrison's voice. then again it's not like you need effects to make Jim's voice sound good

the percussions I feel are pretty sharp. the only other thing I'm concerned about besides structure is melody. I don't think the kalimba I chose was the best instrument for the lead but nothing else sounded as good. any suggestions greatly appreciated.

It's sounds like it need to be time-corrected. It sounds pretty cool tho. Keep working on it, it could turn into gold
